Michal Gloser

Born in 1961 in Pardubice, amateur painter and photographer. In photography he is interested especially in landscape, portrait and arranged (artistic) photography with a man and his transformations as the central theme.

He takes part in a couple of group exhibitions and photographic competitions, especially as a member of renewed photographic group Spiral of Pardubice headed by Petr Moško. He also makes his own solo both photographic and painting exhibitions.

His painting production gets more and more important over time and at the beginning of the new millennium it outweighs his photographic activity. He follows more and more outdoor landscape-painting, especially in surroundings of the favourite Pardubice region view point, well-known Kunětická Mountain. However, he doesn´t avoid other motifs: The Czech Paradise – Ruins of Trosky, Berounka River´s territory, K. H. Mácha´s region with the Castle of Bezděz and The Bohemian-Moravian Highlands where Michal´s father came from.

In parallel with his landscape-painting production there comes up his fantasy painting reflecting author´s prolific inner world.

He is not abandoned by landscape-painting production even when travelling abroad – in April 2008 he brought a cycle of 60 oil paintings from New Zealand where he had spent more than half a year.
